In 1959, the first Ready Mix Plant of Union Asphalt, Inc. was established in Santa Maria, California. The corporation currently owns five Ready Mix Plants, located in Solvang, Lompoc, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo, and Paso Robles. Delivering over four hundred thousand yards of concrete in 2004, Union Asphalt’s Ready Mix Division services the local contractors with Portland Cement Concrete Materials from backyard patio and driveways to the most complex of designs at Vandenberg Air Force Base. All five Ready Mix Plants are State certified and have delivered the majority of Cal Trans work in our area since the early 1960s. With the plants efficient and desirable locations and over fifty mixers in our fleet, Union Asphalt, Inc. is able to provide and extend our services to a large area on the Central Coast ranging from Santa Barbara to King City. With these capabilities, we have the ability both to achieve our goal of providing a top-quality product with first-rate service, and to meet the needs of our community.
